Sportography was founded in 1987 when the concept of a team photo day was just taking flight.
Most organizations hadn't even considered this possibility, and were completely unaware of the tremendous value that
running one of these programs brings and the enjoyment it provides to its members. Our passion for sports and photography
had found an outlet, and we were quick to get involved. With a handful of manual film cameras and a small space in
the basement of a home, we started working with organizations in the Danbury, CT area - offering innovative photo
products, value-added services, and a photo experience customized to the unique needs of each program.
Over the next 10 years, our reputation for quality and service spread - and we began expanding our reach to a wider
and wider area in CT and NY. A new facility was needed to handle our steadily increasing client base, and
Sportography ceased being a 'basement shop' and became a corporation. It became increasingly
apparent that this line of photography is unlike any other, and that in order to truly excel at it - we needed to
dedicate ourselves to its perfection. We then established our goal to be the best in the business, and to continue
to try and bring our services to a wider and wider area.
We follow two truly critical philosophies in our relentless pursuit of this goal:
- That EVERYBODY involved in the organization must benefit from and enjoy the photo process.
- That the process must be truly work-free, and customized specifically for each organization's unique needs.
Everything we do here is aimed at accomplishing one or both of these philosophies. A visit to our product and service

Today, Sportography is proud to be amongst the largest youth sports photography companies in the nation; maintaining offices in five states with clients in eleven. Through digital imaging and technology we’ve continued expanding our offerings to youth sports programs, and broadened our reach to include races and select special events and tournaments, always remaining dedicated to this same goal. |
